Remote Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment is also available online. We can still see you and hear you, and this enables us to analyse your movement, assess your complaint and provide education, advice, movement and exercise-based treatment, all from the comfort of your own home.

MSK Physiotherapy

MSK Physiotherapy employs a variety of methods to alleviate a wide range of symptoms from the musculo-skeletal system. This complex system includes your bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves and allows you to move, work and be active. If you have pain or other symptoms due to these structures then Physiotherapy may be exactly what you need.

Physiotherapy is drug free and works by enhancing the body's own healing mechanism to relieve itself of symptoms such as pain, limited range of movement, reduction of muscle strength and restriction of normal daily activities.

At Physio Pilates Retford, your treatment may include hands-on mobilisation techniques and soft tissue massage. We will also prescribe an exercise program to complement clinical treatment.

"The Physio service offered is excellent. Angela has been excellent supporting me with my back and joint problems."

Initial Assesment

An initial assessment involves a thorough examination of your problem. You will be asked about your pain, general health and relevant past medical history. After this there will be a physical examination so that we can establish the cause of your pain. Treatment may be included within the assessment and you will be given some home exercises to help you manage the problem yourself.

Follow Up Sessions

Further treatment sessions may be necessary depending on your problem. This may be in the form of manual therapy, exercise therapy or a combination of both. A home exercise program is usually an integral part of the treatment.
